In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
How does your media product represent particular social groups?
What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
Who would be the audience for your media product?
How did you attract/address your audience?
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

1. My magazine has many forms and conventions of a real magazine, a form and convention is something that you will find on most magazines, such as a masthead (the name of the magazine you will find on the front cover- in the two magazines above that will be mixmag and sensation). The forms and conventions of a real magazine that you will also find on mine are,

Masthead
A house style (uses of colours and fonts that will run throughout the magazine)
The word ‘win’ is stood out in order to attract the reader.
Images
Headings for what to find inside.
I have included mine and the magazine I chose to resemble to prove what I have been saying.

2. My media product uses certain things to give a representation of certain peer groups such as; at the top of the magazine it says massive dance guide 2009, this gives of the image that my audience enjoy to dance and will also enjoy dance music. There is also a sub-heading which says that there is a ‘nation wide rave guide’ this suggests that my audience may have a lot of money and spare time to be able to go around the nation to attend raves, there is also a lot of alcohol consumption during raves therefore the reader may enjoy alcohol whilst they are attending raves.

3. The type of company that would make and distribute my magazine would be an independent, the reason I say this is because it has a smaller target audience than what a conglomerate would, therefore it would be easier to start the magazine on a small budget and build it up. During the course of making the magazine known the circulation figures will be small, but after the magazine gets more recognisable the circulation figures will rise. Another reason for the rise in circulation figures is because I will use synergy and cross media ownership to bring out other things to promote the magazine such as adverts on TV and radios, after a short while I would also use the two to bring out a ‘sensation music’ channel this will also bring up the circulation figure.

4. I have drawn a picture of what I expect my target audience to look like.

6. I have learnt many things in technology whilst producing my work, such as;
Blogs- How to use them and upload on them.
Photoshop- I used many things on Photoshop; magic wand tool, lasso tool, magnetic lasso tool, how to upload images onto Photoshop, how to upload Photoshop work onto my blog, backgrounds, the basics of using Photoshop, how to edit and image in the correct way and the importance of font. The advantages to using Photoshop, is it is generally easy to understand and can give a good piece of work at the end. The disadvantages of using Photoshop are that it can sometimes be very stressful trying to achieve a look you want and time consuming.
Quark- The things that I used on Quark are; text boxes, picture boxes, jabber and drop shadow. The advantages of using Quark are that it is quick and easy to use, and jabber is a good way of filling space for a draft. The disadvantages are that it is very basic and you cant achieve a lot of detail.

7. I will do this on a voice recording for this and upload it on a separate post.
